Drawing placenames from a hat and pinning them to the map of Cumbria is how Steve introduces each song, story, poem or dialect piece. Featuring a mixture of traditional and contemporary material, each show can be tailored to suit its audience and location.
Alongside a general show about Cumbria, Steve also performs versions for children, coast-to-coast walkers, guests at hotels in Portinscale and Coniston and of course, he has a show just for Christmas.
Solo shows generally last 45 mins to 1 hour. Ideal for Cumbrian themed events, weddings, visiting groups and more. Past and present clients include HF Holidays, National Geographic Holidays, Lake District National Park, Keswick Museum, Women's Institutes, Carlisle Golf Club and more.
A longer, ensemble show can also be arranged for larger venues. Previous ensemble shows have been performed at The Forum, Barrow-in-Furness and Florence Mine, Egremont.
