After crossing the A683 the route takes a detour into a deep, dark, anomalous corner of Cumbria - the Yorkshire Dales National Park! Gently descending towards the perils of Sedbergh, under the shadow of Cautley Crag but safeguarded by the Cross Keys Temperance Inn, following the Rawthey along bridleway, track and footpaths to England's Book Town in time for lunch.
