My route across Cumbria was shaped by the independent hostels, bunkhouses, cafes and events that offered their support in the form of places to perform and/or stay.

 

My first points of contact were Elterwater Hostel and Thorney How Hostel in Grasmere, both part of the Cumbria Independent Hostel Group. Their initial support and advice got the ball rolling and gave me the confidence to approach the others. 

 

Within 2 weeks I had a large number of offers for which I am very grateful. I was also helped by  IHUK and Lakeland Camping Barns and want to say a big thanks to Toby for lending me his super lightweight tent.
