If you like to start a walk with a climb then this is the one for you! Rising out of the historic town the route enters the Lake District National Park at the back of Kendal Fell, then winds through Cunswick Scar and Crook to meet the Dales Way footpath. A short yomp further on to Hag End and behold! The Cumbrian fells spread out and the lakes shimmer in all their glory (weather permitting). The route descends into Bowness and finishes at the bay. Boat ride anyone?
